Focus on sanitation, CM advises officials in disaster-hit Ganjam

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today emphasized on the immediate need to ensure proper sanitation in the calamity struck areas to prevent the possible outbreak of epidemic while asking officials to expedite relief and restoration works in Ganjam district.

Patnaik said he had reviewed the damage caused due to cyclone and floods including crop loss in the district.

The chief minister accompanied by the chief secretary J K Mohapatra, conducted an aerial survey of the calamity-hit areas in the district before reviewing the situation with district level officials at the district headquarters, Chhatrapur.

Apart from Rajya Sabha member Renubala Pradhan, Lok Sabha members from Aska and Brahmapur and most of the MLAs from the district attended the meeting.
