Gaganyaan mission: Odisha CM congratulates ISRO scientists for successful launch of first test flight

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today congratulated the entire team of scientists involved in the successful launching of the first test flight of India’s Gaganyaan mission.

Taking to his personal ‘X’ handle, the CM wrote, “Congratulate the scientists of @isro on successfully launching the first test flight of #Gaganyaan mission. It is a proud moment for us as India takes another giant leap towards launching the crewed spacecraft into space. #ISRO.”

Worth mentioning, despite an initial technical glitch as the engine of TV-D1 failed to ignite and after nearly two-hour delay, the ISRO scientists launched the rocket carrying payloads related to crew safety in the Gaganyaan mission with precision from Sriharikota and achieved the goal of Crew Module and Crew Escape separation, earlier in the day.

“Gaganyaan’s first Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 (TV-D1) has been successfully accomplished,” ISRO chief S. Somanath expressed.
