Ganja worth Rs 1 crore seized from oil tanker in Odisha; 3 held

Malkangiri: Police today seized many sacks of ganja from an oil tanker while the contraband was being trafficked to Chhattisgarh from Odisha’s Malkangiri district and arrested three persons in this connection.

According to reports, acting on a tip-off about huge quantity of ganja being transported to Sukma in Chhattisgarh from here, police intercepted the oil tanker and seized hundreds of sacks filled with ganja.

The cost of the seized contraband is estimated to be Rs 1 crore, police said.

Investigation into the matter is on.
