Man gets lifer for murdering his wife

A local court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the murder of his spouse two years ago.

The convict Jibanjaya Das had confessed to his crime.
On 11 March, 2012 in Gogua village under Kendrapara rural police station jurisdiction.

In a sudden fit of rage over a domestic quarrel, the accused had stabbed his wife to death with a sharp weapon in Gogua village under the Kendrapara rural police station limits on Marc 11, 2012. Witnesses who were cross-examined during the course of the trial had corroborated the charge-sheet filed by the police, said prosecution lawyer, Bhimsen Bhyan

On the basis of circumstantial evidence, the Kendrapara District and Sessions Judge, Bijoy Ketan Mohanty sentenced Das to life imprisonment today
