Mercury likely to go up across Odisha in next 3 days: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The maximum temperature is likely to rise by 2-4 Degree Celsius across Odisha during the next three days, said the IMD today.

As per the IMD weather report, the mercury did not cross 40 Degree C at any place in the state today.

Paralakhemundi recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.2 Degree C in Odisha today, said the IMD regional centre.

The maximum temperature was 37.5 Degree C at Malkangiri, 37.4 Degree C at Chandbali and Baripada, 36.7 Degree C at Paradip, 36.6 Degree C at Bhadrak, 36.5 Degree C at Jagatsinghpur and Rourkela and 36.4 Degree C at Kendrapara.

The capital city of Bhubaneswar recorded the maximum temperature of 36.5 Degree C while Cuttack recorded 35.2 Degree C.

“The maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to rise gradually by 2-4 Degree C at many places across Odisha during the next three days. There will be no large change in the maximum temperature thereafter,” said the IMD regional centre today.

As per the weather report, light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur on April 10 (Wednesday).
