Miscreants loot Rs 5.6 lakh, vehicle from liquor shop employee in Odisha

Angul: Unidentified armed miscreants allegedly looted Rs 5.6 lakh from employee of a liquor shop at Phulapada under Banarpal police limits in Odisha’s Angul district today.

According to reports, Sarab Yadav, the victim, was travelling on a scooter this morning when seven bike-borne miscreants intercepted him. They attacked him with sword and took away the cash and the vehicle from his possession. The looters fled the spot soon after committing the crime.

Yadav sustained critical injuries on his hand and was admitted to the district headquarters hospital. Police have started investigation into the incident.
