Missing boys found dead near canal in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur, Feb 2:

The vehicular movement along the National Highway on the outskirts of the western Odisha town of Sambalpur was hit as locals staged a road blockade after bodies of two minors were found from near a canal here.

According to reports, two minor boys identified as Fardeen Khan and Islam Khan were missing since Sunday afternoon. As they did not return to their respective homes, their parents reported the matter to the Dhanupali police.

However, their bodies were found from near Sindurapanka near Haradjor on the city outskirts.

Following this, mob staged a road blockade disrupting the movement of vehicles along the NH. The family members of the deceased duo alleged that their sons have been murdered.

Meanwhile, police recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. Adequate police forces have been deployed at the site to control the situation.

The deceased were residents of Sonapalli and students of Class VI of Modern Public School here.
