Naveen tweets prayer for speedy recovery of Saichen survivor

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today joined the nation in his prayers for the fast recovery of the Indian soldier found alive on the Siachen glacier six days after he and nine others were swept off by an avalanche.

Naveen Patnaik in his tweet today said “my prayers for our brave solider #Hanumanthappa”. He also gave his salutations for the Indian Army for their rescue efforts, calling it outstanding, “Salutations to our Army for this outstanding effort”.
Lance Naik Hanumanthappa Koppad continues to be in a state of shock with low blood pressure, and has been put on a ventilator in the ICU.The next one-to-two days are critical for the soldier, according to the army hospital medical bulletin.

Koppad and nine other soldiers were swept away by an avalanche at the Siachen glacier on February 3, at an altitude of 20,500 feet.

He was found miraculously alive but in a very serious condition. Koppad, a native of Karnataka, is being treated at the Army Research and Referral Hospital, New Delhi and his condition is said to be “extremely critical”. His family has been flown in by the army from Karnataka to New Delhi.
