While the suspected auto-driver Muna has been detained and is being questioned, the police is yet to find any evidence of his involvement.

“We received the autopsy report last evening but were not able to analyze it as it was late. We are going to study the report today and accelerate the investigation. It won’t be very tough to get to the culprit, if at all she was murdered,” said an investigating officer.

So far, based on the circumstantial evidence, the cops are suspecting involvement of someone related to her in the murder. However, what complicates the case further is she had no known enemies. Cops are still investigating on the lines of property as there is no evidence of loot.

As per sources, Naliniprava recently got a new house built in Cuttack’s CDA area which was an eyesore for many of her relatives. She had her own house in the posh aerodrome area here where she was murdered. Some of her relatives wanted to get the ownership of the property after her death as she was unmarried and had no children.

Naliniprava, however, had decided to hand them over to an orphanage. Police suspects that this could be the motive of the murder.

The cops are also investigating her sources of income, as it might bring up new angles to the case. They are trying to find out how she managed to build a new house without a fixed source of income and if the construction and exchange of money led to any bad blood.

Apart from Muna, the police are also questioning a few other auto drivers who used to ferry her around. However, a breakthrough seems far as of now.
