Odisha: 3-year-old boy drowns in front of mother

Balangir: In a tragic incident, a three-year old boy drowned in a pond in front of his mother at Bhutiarbahal village under Deogaon police limits in Balangir district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Amalesh Pal.

As per information, Amalesh and his mother had gone to a nearby pond this morning. While his mother was washing clothes, the kid was playing by the pond. Accidentally, the boy fell into the pond and drowned in the deep water.

By the time locals reached the spot and rescued him from the water, Amalesh had died.  The locals later called up police and  informed about the incident.
