Odisha adds 993 more COVID-19 cases with 1.43% TPR

Bhubaneswar: As many as 993 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha during the last 24 hours while a total of 69008 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.43%.

Out of the 993 cases, 138 are under 18 years of age. Khurda district reported highest 419 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (95) and Jajpur (60).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 997146 with 9536 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 65 more deaths due to COVID-19 as the tally rose to 7086. Cuttack district recorded highest 15 fatalities.
