Odisha announces date for release of Class 12 Science, Commerce result

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today declared the date on which results for Class 12 Science and Commerce students will be out. In a statement, the government stated the Class 12 results of both the streams assessed by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) this year will be announced in the evening hours on July 31.

Regarding the results of the Class 12 Arts and Vocational Education streams, the government stated as more time are needed to examine the required papers, results of both the streams will be published after July 31.

The CHSE has already submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court seeking more time for announcement of the Class 12 Arts and Vocational Education results.

Last month, the Supreme Court asked state boards to declare the results for Class 12 exams by July 31.

Worth mentioning, on June 5, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced cancellation of Class 12 examination for the year 2021 stating ‘life of students is top priority for the State government amid the Covid-19 second wave’.

As per the assessment formulated for the Class 12 students, regular students will be awarded scores in theory papers on basis of their performances in Class 10 board exam.

In case of ex-regular students, scores will be awarded in theory papers on basis of their performances in previous CHSE Examination that they had appeared earlier.

Scores will be awarded to both regular and ex-regular students in case of practical and project components of a subject on basis of the marks obtained at their Higher Secondary School level.
