Singh was addressing a gathering of youths hailing from all districts on the occasion of the launch of the party’s new website ‘www.bjpodisha.in‘.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter,  What’sApp and You Tube can be used to great effect to spread the mesage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s consistent theme of good governance since India is well and truly on course to become a digital nation,  Singh said.

“Our aim is to make Odisha a BJD and Congress mukt state and this will be possible only through extensive use of the social media,” he said.

He said every issue affecting the public will be highlighted and insatnces of bad governance of the state government exposed through the social media by posting small videos and clippings on the website of BJP in the days to come.

“To persuade the people to join the partyp,  each person should post videos aud photos of good governance of Modi. It could be about the Swachh Bharat campaign, a speech by Modiji on his foreign trips, during the elections or at any institutional place. All this would help convince to join thes party which follows its ideology,” the Odisha pravari said.

“Our government want inclusive growths in every field and in branding BJP- the Lotus symbol in every mind. To make it possible, each one of us must post at least 3-4 posts on Twitter or Fcebook everyday on party’s affairs and events,” he urged party workers.

Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo, the state party president said “We have targeted to induct 40 lakh members in teh state in the days to come and 70 per cent of it will be achieved by using social media”.

He said the new website has newsletter, media resources, core issues, latest news applications like Facebook,  Google+, Twitter and You Tube providing people a platform to share information and opinion.

BJP Odisha already has 5000 members on its Facebook account and aims to increase it to one lakh in a month after the launch of the website, Singhdeo said.
