Odisha clears Rs 1,188 cr worth investment proposals through single window

Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) of the Odisha government today approved investment proposals for three projects worth Rs 1,188 crore.

The three projects approved by the SLSWCA chaired by Chief Secretary Aditya Padhi are Rs 650 crore expansion plan of Emami Paper Mills at Balgopalpur in Balasore district, Rs 430 crore grinding unit of Ambuja Cements at Jharsuguda and Rs 108.99 crore project of Surya Food & Agro Ltd, the manufacturers of Priyagold biscuits at Khurda.

While the expansion of Emami Paper Mills would generate employment for 1750 persons, the grinding unit of Ambuja Cements would provide employment to 300 people and Surya Food unit would generate jobs for 667 persons, informed IPICOL DGM Rajiv Dhal after the SLSWCA meeting here.
