Odisha CM all praises for personnel engaged in C’garh rescue operation

Bhubaneswar: The chief minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik today heaped praises on the personnel engaged in a 104-hour-long operation to rescue an 11-year-old boy from a borewell in Chhattisgarh.

Patnaik also wishes speedy recovery of the Chhattisgarh boy, Rahul Sahu who is recuperating at Apollo Hospital in Bilaspur district.

Over 500 personnel, including officials of the Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF, local police and the administration were involved in the rescue operation that was launched since Friday evening.

At around 2 pm on Friday, Rahul Sahu fell into the unused 80-feet-deep borewell on the backyard of his house in Pihrid village in Malkharoda development block in Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir Champa district while playing.

After the 104-hour-long operation, Rahul Sahu was rescued from the borewell on Tuesday night.
