Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today congratulated Odia sprinter Dutee Chand for qualifying to Rio Olympics.
Describing Dutee’s achievement as “historic” and a proud moment for Odisha and people of the state, the Chief Minister wished victory for Dutee in the Olympics.
Patnaik took to twitter to wish Dutee over her success.

Union Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also congratulated Dutee over the achievement.

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) and Odisha Olympic Association (OOA) announced cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000, respectively for Dutee. Besides, the Odisha Athletics Association announced Rs 50,000 cash prize for her.
Notably, Dutee qualified for Olympics by clocking 11.30 seconds to finish a 100 meter race at the XXVI International Meeting G.Kosanov Memorial in Almaty, Kazakhstan today.
