Odisha girl among two found hanging at forest in Jharkhand

Rourkela: Bodies of two girls, including one hailing from Sundargarh district in Odisha, were found hanging from a tree at a forest near Odisha-Jharkhand border today.

The deceased have been identified as Shraddha of Biramitrapur in Sundargarh and Sunandini of Bansajor in Jharkhand.

Locals spotted the two bodies this morning and informed police about it. The bodies have been recovered and sent for post-mortem.

“Investigation into the matter is underway to ascertain whether the incident was a suicide or murder. Parents of the deceased are being questioned in this regard,” a police official said.
