Odisha govt effects major reshuffle in IAS cadre

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre at the senior level.

According to a General Administration department notification, 1985 batch IAS officer Sangram Keshari Mishra has been posted as the new Chairman of Odisha State Warehousing Corporation, while 1988 batch IAS officer Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been posted as Principal Secretary of School & Mass Education department.

Similarly, 1990 batch IAS officer Manoj Ahuja has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in General Administration and Public Grievance (GA &PG) department, while 1990 batch IAS officer G Srinivas has been posted as Principal Secretary of Commerce and Transport department.

Besides, 1991 batch IAS officer Anu Garg has been made Principal Secretary of Labour & ESI department, while same batch IAS officer Sanjay Rastogi has been posted as OSD in GA & PG department.

While 1991 batch IAS officer Saurabh Garg who has returned after Central deputation has been appointed as Principal Secretary Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment department, 1993 batch IAS officer Nikunja Bihari Dhal, who was Special Resident Commissioner of the State government in New Delhi has been posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Excise department with additional charge of Commissioner-cum-secretary Science & Technology department.

Ranjana Chopra, the 1994 batch IAS officer has been appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Co-operation department with the additional charge of DG Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, while 1996 batch V V Yadav has been appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare department.

Bishnupada Sethi, the 1995 batch IAS officer who is currently Commissioner-cum-Secretary Rural Development department and Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has been vested with the additional charge of Managing Director of OSDMA, while IAS officer Niranjan Sahu has been appointed as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister.
