Odisha man hospitalised after being bobbitised; first wife found dead

Balasore: In a bizarre incident, a person of Odisha’s Balasore district was today hospitalised after being bobbitised and his first wife was found dead from their house.

Police have detained the second wife of the person for interrogation.

According to reports, Kandha Singh (60) of Angaragadia village under Industrial Estate police limits had married Barsha Murmu of Soro area two years ago without divorcing his first wife Gurubari Murmu (55).

A quarrel ensued between Kandha and Gurubari last night following which body of the woman was found in a pool of blood inside the house this morning.

Besides, Kandha was admitted to Balasore district headquarters hospital in a critical condition with his genitals being cut.

Registering a case into the incident, police detained Kandha’s second wife Barsha suspecting her involvement in killing Gurubari.

The body has been sent for post-mortem.
