Odisha: Now give missed call for refill booking of LPG cylinder

Bhubaneswar: Easing the booking process for refilling of LPG cylinders, Indian Oil today launched missed call facility for refill booking and registration for new connection at a special event here.

With this, consumers are advised to dial 8454955555 from their registered mobile number to book a refill cylinder. After that, they will get a confirmatory text message.

The service was launched for Bhubaneswar today. It will be implemented across the state in next 15-30 days. The service will be made available across the country between February and March, said Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the launching ceremony.

If customers make the missed call from non-registered mobile number, they will get a message saying the booking could not be made, said an official.

“In line with the vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister for a Digital India, IndianOil is continuously upgrading facilities in digital platform for its esteemed customers. The missed call facility will be yet another touch point for our customers to seamlessly interact with us for their LPG needs,” said Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman, IndianOil.

A missed call will now be the simplest and most convenient way for a customer to book their LPG refills.

The new connection registration facility through missed call will be a boon to the floating population who is not aware of the serving distributors in their locality.
