Odisha registers highest single-day COVID recoveries

Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded its highest single-day COVID recoveries as 565 COVID patients recovered from the disease today, a day when the state also reported the biggest spike in COVID cases.

Out of the 565 persons, 185 are from Ganjam, 85 from Rayagada, 45 from Bolangir, 32 from Cuttack, 30 from Malkangiri, 24 from Baragarh, 24 from Sundergarh, 23 from Angul, 17 from Balasore, 17 from Jagatsinghpur, 15 from Khurdha, 13 from Jajpur, 10 from Kendrapara, 8 each from Gajapati, Jharsuguda and Nabarangpur, 7 from Mayurbhanj, 4 from Bhadrak, 3 from Puri, 2 each from Dhenkanal and Keonjhar, and 1 each from Boudh, Kandhamal and Sambalpur.

With this, the number of recovered cases in Odisha surged to 7972.
