Odisha reports one more COVID-19 positive case from Balasore; total count 178

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported one more COVID-19 case after a person tested positive for the deadly virus in Balasore district today, revealed State Government on its dashboard.

According to Information & Public Relations Department, the positive case is a 48-year-old male with travel history to West Bengal. He is under quarantine and the contact tracing exercise is underway by the district administration.

With this, the total count in Odisha rose to 178 with 116 active and 60 recovery cases. Two persons infected with the novel coronavirus have died in the state. The second death was reported today morning.

In Balasore, the number of cases increased to 25 with 21 active cases so far.

Earlier in the morning, a COVID-19 positive case was reported from Ganjam district taking total count to 4 in the district.
