Odisha Vigilance to attach assets of crorepati DFO

Vigilance Directorate of Odisha has initiated the process for attachment of illegally acquired properties of former Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Athagarh Suddhansu Mohan Mishra who was arrested February 25 for accumulating properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The department would soon move the appropriate court in this connection.

“Investigation in the case pertaining to former DFO Sudhanshu Mohan Mishra is underway. The department has initiated the process for attachment of his disproportionate moveable and immoveable assets as per provisions of the law. On completion of documentation of these we will move the court,” informed Dr R P Sharma, Director Vigilance here today.

Mishra was arrested by the Vigilance on February 25 for accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The Vigilance has seized his properties both moveable and immoveable valued at about Rs 6 crore.
