Odisha Vigilance Inspector suspended for land fraud

Bhubaneswar, May 13:

The Odisha government today suspended Prabir Keshari Tripathy, Vigilance Inspector, Brahmapur Range for grabbing government land in Sambalpur.

Tripathy, during his tenure in Sambalpur, had grabbed the government land in the name of his wife, father-in-law, brother and brother-in-law.

Besides, the government also directed the concerned authorities to register cases under Section 13(2) and 13(9) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against wife, father-in-law, brother and brother-in-law of Tripathy and former Sambalpur sub-collector Rainu Singh and former tehsildars Ajay Kumar Tiwari and Gyana Ranjan Bhanjadeo for assisting Tripathy in the land grab, a release by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.
