Odisha Weather Update: Thunderstorm, rain likely in these districts today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm/ rainfall today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj,” the Meteorological Centre predicted.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of south interior Odisha, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha,” it added.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 2 days and gradual decrease thereafter by 3-4 degree Celsius over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature likely to be above normal by 3-4 degree Celsius at a few places over the districts of Odisha during the next 2 days.
