Odisha’s Kunduli gang rape victim shifted to SCB

Jeypore: Kunduli gang rape victim was shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack last night after the minor girl’s health condition deteriorated in Kotpad.

The victim vomited yesterday afternoon in Kotpad where she was accommodated by Child Welfare Committee (CWC).

According to reports, blood was found in the vomit following which she was immediately rushed to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College & Hospital for treatment. After her condition deteriorated there and she vomited blood twice and thrice, she was shifted to the SCB in Cuttack.

Notably, the class-IX student of Kunduli in Koraput district was allegedly gang raped by a group of security personnel on October 10 while returning from school.

A case under Sections 376 (D) and 377 of IPC and Section 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act had been registered.
