Over 1 kg brown sugar seized in Bhubaneswar; drug peddler arrested

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) with the help of the Twin City Commissionerate Police seized 1.05 kg of brown sugar from a drug peddler near Sundarpada-Jatni road under Airfield police limits and arrested him in this connection.

The accused has been identified as Umesh Behera of Forest Park area in the city.

According to reports, acting on intelligence input regarding transportation/ possession of the drug, the STF and cops raided the spot yesterday and apprehended the accused.

During search, he was found in possession of the brown sugar and other incriminating materials.

The STF has registered a case while further probe was underway.
