Over 11,000 Nursing Officers to be appointed in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In order to provide better healthcare services, the Odisha government has decided to create posts for 11,006 Nursing Officers. Acting as the per the directive of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the government decided to fill up the new Nursing Officer posts under the Odisha Nursing Service Rules, 2019.

Official sources said the recruitment of the Nursing Officers will be carried out in two phases.

The sources further stated the newly-appointed Nursing Officers will be engaged at District Headquarters Hospitals (DHHs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), Medical Colleges and other hospitals.

As many as 874 posts will be created at the DHHs, 5,400 posts at CHCs, 2,659 posts at Mother and Child Health Centres across the State. Also, 2,073 Nursing Officers will be appointed at medical colleges and hospitals in the State.
