Over Rs 10 lakh looted from bank at gunpoint in Odisha

Kuchinda: Unidentified masked miscreants looted more than Rs 10 lakh at gunpoint from Andhra Bank’s Jamankira branch here in Odisha’s Sambalpur district today.

According to reports, three bike-borne robbers stormed into the bank and threatened staff and customers at gunpoint. The miscreants then looted Rs 10.93 lakh from the locker of the bank.

The looters also took away the CCTV camera hard disk with them, sources said. On being informed, police reached the spot started investigation.

Major entry and exit points of the area were sealed in a bid to apprehend the trio.
