Rahul Gandhi to visit Odisha on March 5

Bhubaneswar: All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi will visit Odisha again on March 5 and address two public meetings in Jeypore and Bargarh, informed Congress spokesperson Satya Nayak.

Though Gandhi was earlier scheduled to visit Odisha on March 2, a change was effected in his programme, party sources said.

This will be Gandhi’s third visit to Odisha this year before the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state. He had earlier addressed a rally at Tomando on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on January 24 and visited Bhawanipatna and Rourkela on February 6.

The focus of the Congress on western Odisha is quite evident after the party’s victory in neighbouring Chhattisgarh.
