Rainfall likely in several Odisha districts from tomorrow; Check forecast

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall from tomorrow, the Regional Meteorological Centre here said.

“In anticipation of approaching western disturbance and moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal at lower level, it is expected that light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely to occur during 3rd to 4th February 2022 over districts of Odisha. Also, isolated thunderstorm accompanied with hail is likely to occur in some districts of Odisha during this period. Some impact on agriculture is expected due to this weather phenomenon,” the Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Day-wise Forecast: 
* Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.02.2022 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.02.2022: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh and at one or two places over the rest districts of North Odisha, Sonepur, Bolangir and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of South Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.

* Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.02.2022 to 0830 hrs IST of 05.02.2022: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha & at a few places over the districts of South Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and hailstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak and Balasore.
