New Delhi: Registration for the Civil Services Examination 2021 began today. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) notified that eligible candidates can register themselves for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination on its official website https://upsconline.nic.in

Last date for submission of the filled-up application for the preliminary examination is 6 PM on March 24, 2021.

A person qualifies the Civil Services Exam only after clearing preliminary exam, main exam and a personal interview. As many as 712 vacancies will be filled up through the examination this year.

The Preliminary Exam will be held on June 27 this year.

The commission further stated, “Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the centres except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Allotment of exam centres will be on the ‘first-apply-first allot’ basis, and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen. Applicants are, thus, advised that they may apply early so that they could get a centre of their choice.”
