Registration begins for Special OJEE in Odisha

Registration for the Special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE), scheduled on September 7, began in the state on Saturday.

The examination would be held for admission to the vacant B Tech, MBA, MCA and B Tech Lateral Entry seats.

As informed by OJEE chairman Tushar Nath, students who had not appeared in the OJEE or had not participated in the counseling, are eligible for the Special OJEE.

Besides, the students, who had applied for Special OJEE between August 3 and 7, will have to make online payment of Rs 1000, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the examination. However, these students need not have to register again, Nath said.

He, however, said that the registered students who have failed to deposit Rs 1000 online, will have come to their respective examination centres with a bank draft of Rs 1000, he added.

Though the examination is scheduled at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Sambalpur and Baleswar, the OJEE authorities would announce the name of the centres after the process of registration is completed.

The duration of the examination would be one hour from 11 AM to 12 PM.

The registration would continue till September 1 after which the students can download their admit card from the OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in

After the announcement of results on September 9, students can download their rank card from the OJEE website on September 10.

This would be followed by a counseling from September 10 to 12 in which allotment of seats would be made.

The students would be asked to report to the concerned college authorities between September 13 and 14 for admission, Nath informed.
