RTOs to accept application for LL in Odisha from this date

Cuttack: Acting as per a directive issued by the Odisha government and in view of the improved situation, the State Transport Authority (STA) asked the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across the state to resume accepting applications for new Learner’s License (LL) from August 23, 2021. Also, the STA directed the RTOs to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 protocol while resuming accepting the LL applications.

The RTOs had suspended issuing the Learner’s License on April 22, 2021 in view of the Corona pandemic.

The applicants can book slot from 7 am to 10 pm every day. The slot duration is of 15 minutes which includes 10 minutes of test time. A candidate has to answer at least 12 questions correctly out of 20 numbers of questions to pass the test. The applicants must wear mask and follow social distancing norms at the testing centre/office, the STA said in a statement.

The LL test for existing applicants has resumed from August 11, 2021. Driving License (DL) test, DL-related services, vehicle-related services and fitness test have also resumed in all the RTOs.

In 2021, a total of 1,32,391 LLs and 4,12,104 DLs have been issued so far.
