Shutdown declared at EPF office in Odisha’s Rourkela city

Rourkela: As several Covid positive cases were reported at the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Sub Regional Office, Bhavishyanidhi Bhawan in Rourkela city, the Municipal Corporation’s Commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida declared a shutdown in the office today.

As per an order issued by the Rourkela Municipal Corporation Commissioner, a 72-hour shutdown has been announced at the EPF Sub Regional Office located at Panposh Road.

The office will remain closed till April 28, 2021. No one will be allowed into the premises of the building during the shutdown period.

“The Covid positive people will stay in home isolation. In case of medical emergency, attention will be provided to them once the EPF authorities intimate to the health response team of the Rourkela Municipal Corporation,” the order stated.

On Saturday, the PF Colony of Industrial Estate in the city was declared as a Micro Containment Zone and Covid test has been carried out in the colony.
