Two Odisha cops awarded for ‘Excellence in Investigation’

Bhubaneswar: The ‘Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation’ for the year 2019 has been awarded to 96 police personnel, including two from Odisha.

Koraput SP Dr. Kanwar Vishal Singh and Odisha Crime Branch SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat have been conferred with the medal.

This apart, Odia IPS officer Chittaranjan Dash, CBI DSP, has also received the medal.

This medal was constituted in 2018 with the objective to promote high professional standards of investigation of crime and to recognize such excellence in investigation by investigating officers.
