Two teenagers among 40 die of COVID-19 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 40 COVID-19 patients in the state succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours in Odisha, taking the toll to 2,952.

“Regret to inform the demise of thirty nine numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department today.

The fatalities have been reported from 15 districts: highest six deaths from Khordha; four each from Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, and Sundargarh; three each from Angul, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi and Boudh; two each from Balangir, Bargarh and Deogarh; and one each from Ganjam, Sambalpur, Kandhamal  and Nayagarh,

2.A 57 years old male of Angul district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

3.A 37 years old female of Angul district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

4.A 48 years old male of Bolangir district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
