[Watch] 97-YO Odisha man sleeps inside polling booth as name goes missing in voters’ list

Puri: A 97-year-old man protested in a unique way by sleeping inside a polling booth over missing of his name in the voters’ list.

The incident was reported from polling booth number 56 at Bholanath Vidyapeeth in Puri district.

According to reports, the 97-year-old Ramachandra Dash of Puri district had been participating in the electoral process in elections in the past for many years. However, he expressed resentment as his name was not found in the voters’ list in this elections.

After being deprived of voting rights in the General Elections 2024 to Parliament and Assembly seats, the nonagenarian slept on the floor inside the polling booth demanding his democratic right after the voting began in the morning.
