Woman hacks drunkard husband to death in Odisha

Rajgangpur: In a shocking incident, a woman hacked her husband to death with an axe at Bahiaam village under Rajgangpur police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district, police said today.

According to Rajgangpur police sources, Joseph Giro (46) of Bahiaam village was a habitual boozer. He used to regurlarly torture his wife Sisika Giro (42) after boozing.

Yesterday night while Joseph, who was drunk and was attempting to attack Sisika with an axe, she seized it from him and hit him on his head. Following the blow, Joseph died instantaneously on the spot, police sources added.

Police have registered a case in this matter and investigation is on, the sources further said.
