Ollywood Actor Amlan’s wife falls into Mahanadi river in Cuttack, rescued

Cuttack: An Ollywood Actor’s wife fell into the Mahanadi river from the CDA Madhusudan bridge in Cuttack today afternoon reportedly while immersing flowers. After receiving information from locals, the Commissionerate Police reached the spot and rescued the woman, identified as Bhumika and the wife of Ollywood Actor Amlan.

Initially, some passerby and locals spotted the woman parking her two-wheeler on the bridge and falling into the Mahanadi river. They immediately informed the police who reached the spot within a few minutes. With the help of locals, the police personnel rescued the woman.

After the woman’s rescue, she was sent for health check-up. Sources said the police will also record the woman’s statement at the CDA Phase II police station and then hand over her to the family members.

A case has been filed by the police suo motu in the incident. Also, the woman’s husband reached the police station to lodge a complaint.

“My wife fell accidentally into the river after her feet slipped. There is no dispute between us,” said Amlan.
