Woman thrashes husband to death in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a person was beaten to death by his wife at Ramachandi village under Banki police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district last night.

According to reports, a verbal duel escalated between Gajendra Sahu (43) and his wife Kusum Sahu (37) yesterday over family issue. It later took an ugly turn as Kusum, in a fit of rage, tied her husband with a rope and thrashed him mercilessly leading to his death on the spot.

The cruelty didn’t stop there as she also beat her 11-year-old son who tried to save his father.

While Kusum was attempting to flee the spot after committing the crime, villagers detained the woman and handed her over to police.

The body was sent for post-mortem. Investigation into the incident is underway, police sources said.
