‘Zonal level ‘Sambad’ debate, song competitions from Sept 22

The zonal level debate and ‘Saregama’ song competitions organized by the leading Odia daily ‘Sambad’ would be held in the city here on September 22.

While the debate competition would be held at the Sambad Bhawan inside the Sambad premises at the Rasulgarh Industrial Estate, the Saregama song competition would be held at Idcol Auditorium.
Both the events would begin at 10 am.

Participants from Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Nayagarh and Puri districts will take part in the events.
Only college and university students are eligible to participate in both events.

Participants have been requested to come with their identity cards issued by their respective college authorities.

The debate competition would be held in Odia language. Participants would be informed about the topic one hour before the competition.

In the Saregama (song) competition, the participants would be allowed to perform light songs, bhajans and adhunik songs either in Odia or Hindi. They would not be allowed to perform any vulgar or double meaning songs. Sambad would assist the singers with musical instruments.

Participants securing first, second and third position would participate in the final round of the competition scheduled on October 4 in Bhubaneswar.
