2 boys of a family drown in morrum quarry in Odisha, one critical

Nabarangpur: In a tragic incident, two minor boys of a family drowned in a morrum quarry at Chirma village under Kashaguda block of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district today. Another boy was rescued and hospitalised.

The deceased have been identified as Nitesh Bisoyi (6) and Tushar Bisoyi (14). Eight-year-old Shiva Bosoyi was rescued in a critical condition and admitted to hospital. The victims are cousins in relation.

The mishap took place when the trio was bathing in the water collected at the murram quarry. The three slipped into deep water and drowned. They were rescued by villagers and rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared Nitesh and Tushar brought dead.
