2 minor boys meet watery grave in Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: In an unfortunate incident, two minor boys met a tragic fate after they drowned while bathing in the village pond in Sinapali block of Nuapada district in Odisha here today. The incident took place in Choura village within Sinapali police limits here.

As per reports, the boys, aged seven and nine years, were taking a bath in the village pond when they lost balance and drowned. Villagers on hearing their screams rushed to the spot. They rescued the duo and shifted them to the community health centre immediately but doctors declared the children dead on arrival. Further details are awaited.

A pall of gloom descended on the village following the incident.
