2698 more COVID-19 cases detected in Odisha; here’re district-wise figures

Bhubaneswar:  As many as 2698 persons in Odisha tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the total count to 72,718,  informed the Government

Of the total fresh cases, 1675 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1023 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The fresh cases have been reported from all 30 districts with Khordha registering highest 475 cases followed by Cuttack (207) and Ganjam (162). Total eight districts registered over 100 fresh positive cases.

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 23,699.  However, 48,576 patients have recovered in the state so far.

It is pertinent to mention here that total 56,479 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 11,72,426 tests have been conducted in the state.
