4242 new COVID-19 cases in Odisha; here’re district-wise figures

Bhubaneswar:  As many as 4242 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 184122.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2503 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1739 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.

Khordha recorded highest 652 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (595) and Jharsuguda (205).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 37684.  However, 1,45,675 patients have recovered in the state so far.

It is pertinent to mention here that total 47,758 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 28,14,734 tests have been conducted in the state.
