Six localities of Odisha’s Berhampur sealed

Berhampur: As many as six localities of Odisha’s Berhampur town were today sealed and declared as containment zones to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The localities are Sahu Colony-Ward No. 04, Bhaba Nagar 4th lane, Tulasi Nagar 6th lane, Bank Colony 1st lane near A.I.R Office, Gandhi Nagar 4th lane, and Burma Colony.

The areas were sealed on the basis of input received by the Berhampur Municipal Corporation from special teams formed for health screening.

Few symptomatic people were found in the area during the special screening drive undertaken by Rapid Response Teams, official sources said.

No public shall be allowed to move into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone shall remain in home quarantine till further orders. All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain under home quarantine. All the shopping establishment of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately, an official order of the Berhampur Municipal Corporation said.

The supply of essentials and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the municipal corporation.
