8ft long python rescued

An eight-feet long python weighing 35 kg was rescued from Kela Sahi of Badamundali near here on Friday evening.

The python was rescued from the courtyard of a house belonging to Sushant Das and Chaitanya Das.

Locals informed Barang police station after detecting the snake following which Snake helpline member Sanjay Parija reached the spot and rescued the snake.

Parija later handed over the python to Nandankanan Zoological Park authorities.
