91-Year-Old man beats COVID-19 in Odisha

Koraput: A 91-year-old man has been discharged from a COVID hospital after defeating the deadly COVID-19 in Odisha.

By surviving the novel coronavirus, Kashinath Padhi, a resident of Basuguda Sahi in Kotpada area of Koraput district, has proved that the pandemic can be conquered with strong willpower.

“No need to get afraid of Corona, rather face it. The Government is providing all kinds of medical facilities and treatments at the hospitals. I returned to home after recovering from the disease,” the 91-year-old man told media.

Padhi had undergone COVID-19 test after he developed flu like symptoms and fever on October 2 and did not get recovered from illness. He was admitted to a COVID hospital in Jeypore after being tested positive for the deadly virus on October 5. He came back to home today.

He will remain under home isolation for next few days on suggestion from the doctors to avoid spread of COVID-19 infections.

Worth mentioning, Padhi was fifth member of his family to have contracted Coronavirus. Earlier, his son Santosh Padhi, grandsons Abinash Padhi and Deepak Padhi and a close relative at his home were infected with the virus. They were all undergoing treatment at a COVID hospital in Jeypore and recovered from the disease afterwards.
