Bhubaneswar: Strict implementation of Mo Sarkar programme resulted in positive results as 192 Aahaar Centres and central kitchens in Odisha have received ISO certificate for providing quality meals.
Total 158 Aahaar Centres and 34 central kitchens are now ISO certified in Odisha, informed Housing & Urban Development department on a microblogging site.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hailed the department, district administrations and organisations executing the programmes, for this achievement.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote:
Our drive to bring affordable & quality meals to the needy in urban areas registered a major achievement with all 158 #AAHAR Kendras & 34 Central Kitchens getting #ISO certified. Kudos to the team from @HUDDeptOdisha, Collectors & Industry partners who made this happen.

Worth mentioning, Aahaar and central kitchen systems were launched in the state to provide meal at Rs 5 and cooked midday meals in schools respectively.
Under Mo Sarkar initiative, the officials have been visiting the Aahaar Centres and central kitchens to inspect the qualities and service provided to poor people and school children.
